russians in texas

Kseniya, right of me, with a group of students and teacher, Natasha, second from right,  from the Academy of Economics and Law made their first visit from Khabarovsk, Russia in August 2001.  I was then the President of the Denison Rotary Club.  E-mail provided an excellent opportunity for us to stay in communication after they returned to their home town. Approximately one year later Kseniya volunteered to take a month from school to aid me in a life time experience of traveling across Russia, "Russian style". Natasha Makarova (Far right) is presently attending Austin College in Sherman, TX.  She is here on student loans and the Sherman Rotary Club is making efforts to raise money to help defray the cost. It is almost impossible to repay loans by working in Russia; therefore, Natasha plans to work in the U.S.A. after graduation to fulfill her obligations. She is working at Austin College to help pay her expense.

Today Kseniya is planning a Travel with a Russian program that will allow you to experience all of Russia according to you specific needs. Her knowledge of foreign languages will enable you to combined this trip into a Russian language course if you desire.

Natasha Fomin, teacher at the Academy of Economics and Law, returned the following January 2002 to teach Russian at Austin College.  Here she is visiting us again at our Denison Rotary Club with the Honorable Ralph Hall.  Ralph Hall had recently visited Russia and shared his experiences with Natasha
